If you’re an old gamer like me, you probably have a decent shelf of books, adventures and pdfs and they sit weeping for attention.
“I hear you little twins OSR and OSE”
“I hear you Greyhawk and Dragonlance”
“I hear you Pathfinder 2 and ICRPG”
and daddy’s coming to save you all!!
It’s time to stop buying (yeah right) and start running more games. These games sit on my shelf or have garnered more than a glance and it’s time to give them their due.
I have set some pretty audacious rpg goals for 2023 and it involves playing multiple systems, editions and adventures.
As a professional DM, I think it’s important to learn different systems and to be ready to throw down with whatever game my players want to play.
These games will be spread out over in-person and on-line gaming. I am currently running games for my high school friends on Friday nights, a once a month paid game at the public library, and a paid once a month game at my local gaming store and paid online games when I can squeeze them in.
This is my rough draft of what I hope will be the most epic year of gaming of my life rivaling 14 year old me who would stay up all night with friends and kill monsters.
Here’s are my goals, month by month. Each game will be a one shot except for Dragonlance in which I will play Shadow of the Dragon Queen if my players ever make a final decision (c’mon guys!)
Dungeon Crawl Classics
Pathfinder 2
ICRPG
Greyhawk
Anime 5e
Eberron
Ravnica

These goals do not specifically include any new (2023) WoTC 5e products because they will take time to digest, etc.
It’s time to bring my games out of the shadow and onto the table, real or virtual and I could not be more excited.
