Oh, you’d like to join my cult, would you?
I imagine your first question will be. “What is your cult about?”
and my answer would be, “I don’t know yet, let me roll on this table and I’ll tell you.”
Welcome to the Cults of Kre’ash, my 9th Crit Happens zine and my 6th in a series called A Hex Crawl of Horror about my system agnostic setting Kre’ash.
Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect,
The Silent Weaver (formerly known as Weave) once the co-architect of Kre’ash grew tired of the noise of her creation and decided to create something new: REBELLION.
Most of the Kre’ash pantheon were beyond temptation, save Corundum, Master of Secrets (now known as Lord Corundum) but the demigods and messengers who served the gods of Kre-ash are another story.
Tempted. Rebelled. Imprisoned. And now free, thanks to The Witches of the Blackened Earth they are gathering their own followings.
Both The Silent Weave’s and Corundum’s religious orders are now fractured as some have kept the faith but others have departed the old ways for this new found freedom.
These new “religions” have been labeled as cults among most Kre’ashians and are seen as dangerous.
The big question is, “What do The Silent Weaver, Lord Corundum and these demigods want?”
The Cults of the Demigods
After The Hexing, more cults began to pop up to ‘honor’ the undead, the demons, beasts and the spirits who were unleashed upon Kre’ash.
Some people joined the cults out of fear or for survival and others saw it as an opportunity to reset their place in the world or gain power in this now restructured society.
On the following pages I’ve described the major cults, that we know of, starting with The Silent Weaver and Lord Corundum, but the tables ahead will allow you roll up as many cults as you’d like to put into your game/setting.
Some demigods are loyal to the cause put forth by The Silent Weaver but there are many who seek to supplant them and achieve their own twisted goals, if they have any goals at all (so much for loyalty).
The cults that have formed around these demigods are detailed throughout these pages to use in your game and your setting as well as 11 random tables to create your own cult.
