This, of course, is completely subjective.
Of the 6 billion people in the world, I have to be in the top 5% that have released an original rpg setting, right? So, I have that going for me.
Would you like to see some of my setting? Great!
The land of Kre’ash is a continent, for now, and in the southeastern corner of Kre’ash is The Land of the Gods which covers a 220 mile hex flower.
Within this hexflower there is a large city of 1900 people called Guardian Grove, named after the pantheon of gods, The Guardians, who co-created Kre’ash.
I should mention that I am loosely following the 33 steps outlined by Rob Conley, in his book, How To Make A Fantasy Sandbox. I highly recommend it.
Here’s the beginning of detailing the hex with cities, towns, villages and hamlets.
And here is a semi-finished look at the names of these areas.
In my latest issue, Crit Happens #10: Land of the Gods, Each of these places has a full page description (about 3 paragraphs), which was step 17 and 18 in the process, there is a description of the five era and there are plot hooks for most, if not all, the cities mentioned.
Included in issue #10 is my first drawn/decorated map and includes several versions. Future issues will focus on individual cities and each will have a map.
You can purchase the whole Hex Crawl bundle which covers from my initial idea for the hex flower in issue #4 all the way to #10. If you purchase the bundle you are getting 1 zine free and saving a few bucks.
