Bring out your dead!
This is my third zine in my Horror Hex Crawl series. In number 4 I created a simple, system agnostic hex crawl system, that I would like to use. In number 5 I expanded with The Witches of the Blackened Earth, who, by casting a powerful hex, blighted the land and corrupted death itself. Which brings me to zine number 6, The Corrupdead.
The Corrupdead bring with them auras which should terrify even the bravest of adventurers. These auras could adversely affect a party of heroes or they could possibly be boons for that same party.
Boons and Banes
When characters encounter The Corrupdead, who always travel in groups, someone in the party will roll a 1d6
This will determine if The Corrupdead carry a Bane Aura, a Boon Aura or no aura.
1-2 Bane
3-4 No Effect
5-6 Boon

The Shadow Horde
These Corrupdead are dark, shadowy creatures that move in silence, in almost ethereal swarms. They are difficult to see in low light or darkness, and their attacks are swift and deadly. Movement is fast.
AC: Easy HD: d6. DMG: Clubbing Blow (1d6)
Corruptdead Aura: Oppressive darkness
Boon: PC’s have advantage on stealth checks.
Bane: PCs have disadvantage on perception checks, and any magic that deals radiant damage is less effective against the horde.
